Projectmanagement

As Project Manager of science streets, I accompany the project from its initial idea through to its realization. My role combines strategic planning, organizational coordination, and creative development, with the aim of transforming scientific content together with our team into formats that are accessible, engaging, and inspiring for a broad audience.

A central part of my work is my full-time responsibility for the planning, coordination, and implementation of our Art & Science Open Air event. From developing the concept and coordinating collaborations with artists, scientists, and partners to overseeing the practical realization in public spaces, I manage the various stages of the process and help create a platform where art and science can meet in a meaningful and inspiring dialogue.

Through my work as a theatre director, I also bring many years of experience in developing and realizing artistic projects. I am particularly interested in how stories are created, how spaces can shape experiences, and how different perspectives can be brought together. These experiences strongly influence my approach to science streets and support our mission to make scientific topics emotionally engaging, visually compelling, and accessible to diverse audiences.

I also have a personal connection to research at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig through my long-standing participation as a research participant in scientific studies since 2012. This experience has allowed me to engage with science not only from the perspective of communication and project development, but also through direct personal involvement in the research process.

For me, science streets is about bringing science beyond the walls of research institutions and creating new opportunities for people to encounter knowledge in their everyday environments. The project invites curiosity, encourages questions, and opens spaces for dialogue – showing that science is not something distant, but a living process that connects us all.
